Baby Crazy!

| | Comments (1)

I have a baby problem. Seriously. I seem to have baby-radar, and I pick out all the cute babies in a crowd wherever we go. Maybe it's my ovaries starting to freak out. But I think they're adorable.

My cousin (or step-cousin, to be precise) recently had a baby. This summer, I went a little nuts making cute things for baby... they're so quick to make, and so cute when they're done, I couldn't contain myself!

This is the little dress I sewed, with little pantaloons to cover the diaper.

Back of the dress, with little heart buttons.

Pixie baby hat. It's knit in Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino. The pattern is debbie bliss, too. Too cute.

Mary jane baby booties, made in baby cashmerino from a free pattern I found online. The buttons are mother of pearl. These probably took about 3 hours total.

Another baby hat, made from an Ann Norling pattern. The hat is knitted, the flowers are crocheted... and they are the first things I have successfully crocheted.

The set of baby knits. I gave these and the dress to her at the shower. Actually, there was a little white bonnet to go with the dress. I'm not sure where the pictures of that are.

Baby blanket, also from a debbie bliss pattern, but made in KnitPicks shine because it's machine washable and dryable. I actually didn't finish this until just after the baby was born - it took a lot longer than I expected! I used 7 balls of yarn! The picture is before blocking... sadly, I have none from after the blanket was blocked. The pattern was really fun to knit.

I may have staved off my need for babies for a bit. Good thing, since they're going to have to wait a good long while. But I intend to one day have the best dressed baby ever.
