It was totally sweet. I even got motion sickness for a few brief seconds near the end.
This movie is totally engrossing. See it in the theater; you will enter their world.
I planned to anyway.
I, too, saw this movie and loved it. Perhaps even more than Paprika, though that might be a bit like trying compare Big L and Nas, or Henry and William James, or Asian pears and UFO peaches - they're all wonderful, in different ways.
Also saw some Solaris, some Event Horizon, and (as Patrick D. pointed out) some Aliens shout-outs in Sunshine, but actually liked Sunshine more than any of those other movies.
That's right - Sunshine's better than the Aliens movies. I said it.
I'm going to space-hell, I know.
But it's true.
The guy from Red Eye and Batman Begins is awesome. Space is scary.
I'm still shaking.
Sunshine is an abstract art film with a solid anchor in reality.
