ummmmmmm... it is rumored that scientists in shandong china have succeeded in controlling mouses impulses by stimmulating micro-electrodes in their brains. I couldn't find much, just variations on this arcticle in ananova

I understand that this could be used to benefit people with nervous system disorders, but I can't help being afraid of a potential loss of free will somewhere down the line. This discovery is reminiscent of the saddest comic book We3 by Grant Morrison, which describes the downfall of an experiment designed to use roboticly adjusted animals as the ultimate soldier.
