Weirdness from the front....
What follows is a bunch of boring updates about my life. Proceed with caution...
So here is what you missed. I went to Boston as you may have gathered. It was awesome. I came back to a shitstorm of work. I am working on two documentaries (I am a freelance editor) During the day I work on a Documentary about a certain heiress...I can't say her name because I signed a thingy. Lets just call her P. Hilton...no thats too obvious...Paris H. Thats better. I am working on it with fellow blogger Steve. It is bizarre. I feel a little morally queasy about it, but I rationalize it by telling myself that I need to pay my student loans. I mean what's another drop in the cultural drivel bucket, right? Ugh.
However, I spend my nights on a documentary I feel much better about. It is about the role that Rock and roll played in the collapse of communist Russia. It can be a little frustrating sometimes, working with
the first time documentary makers, but I love the subject and their hearts are in the right place. Between the two docs, I have barely had time to eat a sandwich, much less blog.
In other weirdness, a thing I drew a long time ago for an anarchist bookstore has made its way all over the place. It started with the bookstore printing it on a postcard. The postcard was then sent to the popular blog Post Secret. They turned it into a book. A bunch of articles got published about the blog/book. Long story short, it ended up on the front page of the NY-Times arts section, Adbusters, the front-page of AOL and in this book. The drawing is of a little guy throwing a briefcase. Next to him it says "I don't care about recycling but I pretend I do." I didn't;t write that. That was the secret someone that someone wrote on it.
