Gadget Blogs for the Ladies suck balls.

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. It's embarrassing. It displays a total disregard for my braincells. It proves that if there was a fashion teen magazine in front of me, I would read it. It shows me that I am perfectly willing, eager even, to waste time just for the sake of it. I can't stop reading girl gadget blogs.
I'll admit, I used to be a lot worse. I used to check the likes of Techiediva, Popgadget, Chipchick, and of course Shiny Shiny, the world's leading girl gadget blog almost every day. I don't know what kept me checking them every day, since they all post the exact same stuff. Ooh, look, this iPod case has jewels on it! Oh, so cute, this teddy bear doubles as speakers! Holy crap, another Hello Kitty USB Memory key! No WAY, a bright pink mp3 player? Get out of town!

It's so sickening, and yet, I just keep coming back. i just want them to be good so badly, because I think it's a good idea. I mean, not nessisarily a blog dedicated to girly gadgets, because they're always Always dumber looking than the regular versions. But the idea of a gadget blog from a girl's point of view.
Do you know Wonderland? It's a gamer blog written by a girl. But does she waste our time being all like, "I found a game with lots of pink in it!"? No! She doesn't! But even if she threw something really girly in there once in awhile, it would be okay, because there's more to her interests than that. She talks about games like an expert, but I find the blog has a special something because it's from a woman's perspective.
I did just read recently that something like 96% of women were uncomfortable talking about technology and didn't know the meaning of words like "googling" and "ISP". I can't believe that's true, and since I can't remember the source of that information, it very well may be wrong. But it's true that most women aren't interested in gadgets, and these blogs are aimed at getting women more interested in what gadgets can do for them. But there basically just telling women that what gadgets can do for them is make them look cool and up to date with what's new. It's making technology seem like a trend. It's just so embarrassing.
I just want to read a gadget or computer blog written by an intellegent gadgety woman who knows what's she's talking about. Is that really so much to ask? I don't think so. I don't think so.

Not so sure about tech, but GameGirl Advance is ok. Not updated that often though.
They also linked me into Tranism by a couple calling themselves Electro and Plankton. It's more scattered but worth the occasional read.
Also, you should write about video games more.
